The phrase alternative therapy is used to describe a wide range of treatments which, generally, are not available from conventional doctors.

In the treatment of cancer, conventional medicine includes surgery, chemotherapy (the use of drugs), and radiation. By contrast, alternative therapy includes nutritional supplements, enzymes, diet, detoxification, change in life style, stress control, prevention, and biofeedback.

At the moment there are so many 'new' natural therapies its so hard to know what works and what doesnt and what treatment option you should choose. I personally use natural/herbal supplements, regular massage and sometimes kinesiology for a digestion problem i've had for years

Some if not most people don't believe in alternative therapy. They think that it depends on placebo effect. But I'd say, we have nothing to lose if it doesn't work and much to gain if it works for us.
